If you’re here you probably already have an idea of this thing’s popularity. This is a very satisfying slider with a zipper feeling, it has a simple yet elegant structure, and since it’s all held by magnets you don’t have to worry about any loose screws. The key to the feedback lies within the internal plates. The PEEK plate is the loudest and with more tactile feedback while the Zi/SS version has what I think is a brass plate that’s more subdued. It depends on how loud you want to be. The Titanium version also has a very nice design and the cool part is that it includes a PEEK plate but with a blue titanium logo. Also, the double bead slot does not actually make the feedback stronger but instead it makes it softer and “crunchier”, since instead of single discernible clicks you get two quick ones in succession, it’s a very different feeling closer to a glide. I think this one is well suited to collecting multiple variants with different configurations so you can just grab whichever one you want at the moment and have a different feeling each time. The one downside is that the stainless steel base is prone to getting micro scratches easily even by just putting it down on a desk often. Unfortunately you kind of have to live with that unless you live in a perfectly clean environment. You can restore it, though. One of mine had a very unsightly scratch on one side but I managed to remove it completely with 500 grit sandpaper with virtually no marks left. I’m not an expert at this, so I’m sure someone more skilled and with finer grit could leave it even more polished. I can live with just a few micro scratches. As for the Titanium/Zirconium front plates, they have remained pristine and scratch-free from just daily use, though I wouldn’t want to test them against a drop on the ground, so be careful.
