In about twenty-five film rolls I have tried to summarize what it has been like for me to travel to Japan. Punk was just the excuse, the intention was to learn and capture a fascinating spirit in constant contradiction, which is functional for millions of people who live there. Understanding what I have seen is not an easy task, but presenting it in an orderly way in photographs facilitates analysis and also gives space to new interpretations of my experience.
